Three winter days between dreams and reality
Imagine spending three days surrounded by winter scenery, Christmas lights, snow-covered trees and photographers who share the same excitement about creating beautiful images.
In December 2027, I am returning to Sweden for something very special.
Together with Zoom Fotoresor, I invite you to join me for Winter Wonderland – a three-day children’s photography experience in Kosta, Sweden.
We will photograph children in magical winter and Christmas settings, work with natural light, explore storytelling and composition, and then bring our photographs to life together in Lightroom and Photoshop.
But just like all my workshops, this experience is about much more than camera settings.
It is about inspiration, creativity, meeting people who love photography as much as you do and giving yourself three winter days completely dedicated to something you genuinely love.
A magical winter setting
Our workshop takes place in Kosta, in the heart of Småland, Sweden, where the Christmas market and surrounding winter scenery create an extraordinary setting for children’s photography.
Christmas lights, decorated scenes, winter trees, sledges and atmospheric locations will give us plenty of opportunities to create photographs filled with warmth, story and that slightly magical feeling between dreams and reality.
Rather than simply recreating my photographs, I want to show you how I see a scene, how I work with the available light and how I build an image from the first idea to the final edit.
DAY ONE – From inspiration to the photograph
After lunch we will meet at Kosta Lodge, where we will begin our three days together.
I will introduce you to the creative process behind my photography – how I find inspiration, recognize beautiful light, work with composition and color and create photographs that feel natural, emotional and a little magical.
We will also look at Before & After examples so you can see how an image develops from the moment it is photographed to the finished result.
Then it will be time to take those ideas outside.
Together we will photograph children among the magical winter and Christmas settings of Kosta, putting everything we have discussed into practice.
You will photograph yourself while I stay close to guide you, answer questions and show you how small changes in light, perspective, composition and interaction with the child can completely transform an image.
DAY TWO – Photography, creativity & editing
The second day gives us even more time to create.
We will return to the winter settings for further photography sessions, allowing you to experiment, develop your ideas and become more confident in creating your own images.
Throughout the sessions, I will help you with composition, storytelling, natural light and working with child models in a relaxed way that allows genuine expressions and moments to happen.
We will also look at some of the photographs we have created and discuss what works, what could be approached differently and how small decisions can strengthen an image.
Later, back at Kosta Lodge, we will move from photography to post-production.
Using Lightroom and Photoshop, I will show you the techniques I use to shape light, color and atmosphere and transform a RAW file into the finished dreamy images you know from my portfolio.
DAY THREE – Bringing everything together
Our final morning will be dedicated to editing and refining the photographs created during the workshop.
You will have more time to work on your own images, ask questions and receive guidance as you develop your final photographs.
At the end of our time together, participants will also have the opportunity to select and submit their favorite photographs from the workshop.
Zoom Fotoresor will organize the selection of the Workshop Image, with the winning photograph qualifying for the final of their Årets bild 2027 competition.

Who is this experience for?
You do not need to be a professional photographer.
Winter Wonderland is designed for people who love photography and already have some basic camera knowledge and would like to develop their skills in children’s and portrait photography.
Whether photography is your profession or simply something you love doing, you are very welcome.
The group is intentionally small – 8 to 10 participants – giving us time to photograph together, talk about your images and create in a relaxed atmosphere.
More than photographs
Of course, I want you to leave Sweden with beautiful photographs.
I want you to understand light better, discover new editing techniques and return home full of ideas you want to try.
But I also hope you leave with something that is harder to put into words.
New inspiration. New friendships. Memories of winter evenings, Christmas lights and conversations with people who understand why photography means so much to you.
Some of my favorite memories from teaching around the world have very little to do with what happened in the classroom.
They are about the people I met along the way.
I would love for you to be part of this Winter Wonderland in Sweden.
